This Shop Privacy Policy explains how Simply Sound Society ("SSS", "we", "us", or "our") handles information related to purchases of SSS profile cosmetic packs, including profile effects, profile slots, and related digital unlocks.

Short version: SSS uses account information to provide digital cosmetic unlocks. Paddle is our planned payment processor and merchant/payment partner for checkout. We do not store full card numbers on SSS servers.

Founder 1000: the first 1000 eligible SSS member accounts may receive a founder cosmetic unlock. Founder unlock metadata is stored on the eligible account so SSS can honor the promise that those accounts keep the currently included profile effects without needing to repurchase them later. Founder status is account-bound, not transferable, and not cash-equivalent.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to shop and checkout-related activity for SSS cosmetic profile products. It supplements the main site privacy policy and does not replace it.

2. Information we may collect

  • Account information, such as your SSS username, email address, user ID, and profile/account status.
  • Purchase-related entitlement information, such as the cosmetic pack purchased, entitlement status, grant/revoke timestamps, provider reference IDs, and support notes.
  • Technical information needed for fraud prevention, security, logging, debugging, and checkout support.
  • Support communications you send us about purchases, account access, unlocks, or billing questions.

3. Payment information

When checkout is enabled, payment processing is expected to be handled by Paddle. Paddle may collect and process payment details, billing details, tax information, fraud-prevention data, and transaction records according to Paddle's own buyer and privacy terms. SSS does not intentionally store full credit card numbers, full payment credentials, or complete card security codes on our servers.

4. How we use shop data

  • To unlock purchased cosmetic packs for the correct SSS account.
  • To show your current cosmetic entitlements and founder status.
  • To provide account, billing, and support assistance.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate claims, unauthorized access, or checkout misuse.
  • To maintain accurate accounting, audit logs, tax, compliance, and transaction records.
  • To improve the shop, pricing page, product catalog, and profile customization experience.

5. Sharing with Paddle and service providers

When checkout is enabled, purchase data may be shared with Paddle so Paddle can process payment, calculate applicable taxes, issue receipts, manage disputes, and provide buyer support. We may also use hosting, security, analytics, email, database, logging, and support tools that process limited data on our behalf.

6. Founder accounts and entitlements

SSS may offer a Founder 1000 benefit to the first 1000 eligible SSS member accounts. If your account is eligible for a founder unlock, we may store founder-related metadata on your account, such as founder status, unlock timestamp, and cosmetic entitlement flags. This is used to honor the founder promise that eligible founder accounts keep the currently included profile effects without needing to repurchase them later, and to prevent accidental loss of access.

7. Cookies and analytics

SSS and third-party tools may use cookies or similar technologies for login sessions, security, checkout continuity, fraud prevention, analytics, and preference storage. Paddle may also use its own checkout-related cookies or tracking where required for payment processing and compliance.

8. Data retention

We keep shop records for as long as needed to provide unlocks, support purchases, comply with accounting/legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and maintain accurate entitlement history. Some records may remain even if profile content is deleted, where retention is necessary for security, compliance, or transaction integrity.

9. Your choices

  • You can contact support to ask about your shop data, entitlement status, or account unlocks.
  • You can request account/data deletion through the available account controls, subject to records we must retain for legal, tax, security, dispute, or fraud-prevention reasons.
  • You can manage browser cookies through your browser or consent tool where available.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect shop and account data. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account login credentials secure and for contacting us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

11. Children's privacy

SSS is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly sell cosmetic products to children under 13. If we learn that an under-13 account has made or attempted a purchase, we may restrict the account and take appropriate corrective action.
